With an instantaneous (or continuous flow) hot water system, water is heated as needed and therefore a storage tank is not required, saving on purchase costs and energy losses.
As water is heated instantaneously, these systems do not run out of hot water. The size of an instantaneous hot water system is smaller than a standard storage system, and it can be mounted on a wall or in a cupboard.
Instantaneous hot water systems can be installed externally or internally, though restrictions exist on internal gas hot water systems.
